The Kiester City council held a special meeting on Monday April 29 2025, at the Kiester Community Center.
Mayor Hope Bauman called the meeting to order at 7 pm Council Members Present: Larry Dahleen, , Brandon Hagenson, Jason Kluender Absent: Larry Dahleen, Kurt Grobe City Maintenance: Gary Skartland; City Clerk: Doris Troll; Members of the public: Kevin Martens Faribault County Register, Jeanette Parriott, Chastin Allen, Tracy Thompson.
Public Hearing: Hope opened the meeting for public comment on the sale of the liquor store equipment and inventory. one person wanted to know what was going on with it as they have heard many different stories. The council stated by end of the meeting you will know everything.

The clerk did the reading of the resolution 2025-08, declaring municipal property as surplus and authorizing the city clerk to dispose of. Motion to pass the ordinance was made by Jason Kluender seconded by Brandon on m Jason Kluender, vote 5-0 vote 3-0, motion carried.
The council reviewed the purchase agreement for the assets listed in resolution 2025-08, motion to accept the agreement with the offer of $27,500.00 by Hope Bauman seconded by Jason Kluender. Vote 3-0, motion carried.
The council reviewed the Commercial purchase agreement for the building. With a down payment of $ 1000.00 With all the social media account to be turned over to the new owners, and all current admins be deleted. The new business will be operated as H & MJ Holdings DBA Kiester Liquor Store. With the motion to accept the offer with the media stipulation and cash of $ 27,500.00 made by Brandon Hagenson seconded by Hope Bauman. Vote 3-0 Motion carried.
